The 1928 $1 Silver Certificate is the first small-size Silver Certificate.
Although designated Series 1928, the notes were actually printed in April 1933. The reverse of the note was so radically different from other notes that it earned the nickname “funny back”. The “funny back” $1 Silver Certificate Note was printed until 1935.
